What is on a COA
A complete Certificate of Analysis names the compound and lot number, the test methods used (mass spectrometry for identity, HPLC for purity), the measured purity result, and the testing date. Why third-party testing matters in this market

The testing methods, explained
Two complementary analyses define a research peptide. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) measures purity: the sample is pushed through a column that separates the target peptide from related impurities, and the size of each resulting peak shows what fraction of the sample is the intended compound. A 99%+ result means at least 99% of the material is the peptide named. Mass spectrometry (MS) measures identity: it determines the molecular mass of the sample and matches it to the known mass of the peptide, confirming the molecule is actually what the label claims. Purity without identity, or identity without purity, is only half the picture - a credible COA reports both.
How our testing process works
- Synthesis. Each peptide is produced to its defined sequence and purified.
- Independent analysis. A sample from the finished lot is sent to a third-party laboratory for HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity testing.
- COA issued against the lot. The laboratory result is recorded on a Certificate of Analysis tied to that specific lot number and date.
- Lot tracking. Every vial from the batch carries the lot number, so the COA always matches the physical material a researcher receives.
- COA on request. The matching lot certificate is provided on request for any order.
How to verify your COA is genuine
A certificate is only as good as your ability to check it. Confirm the lot number on the COA matches the vial you received; check that the testing laboratory is named and independent; confirm both methods are stated (HPLC and mass spectrometry) with a concrete purity figure; and, for the most rigorous verification, submit your own sample to an independent lab and confirm the result lines up with the certificate.
